Paper Company Honors Art of Creating Distinctive Labels for Specialty Food and Beverages
ALPHARETTA, Ga. - Neenah Paper, an innovative leader in the creation and manufacturing of premium, specialty and sustainable papers, is proud to announce the winners of the 2011 "Labels of the World Contest," a competition recognizing what it takes to create distinctive, eye-catching labels in the food and beverage industry. The contest, which for the first time included a new category – Food and Other Beverage – honors the top 12 labels produced on CLASSIC Wine and ESTATE Label Papers based on design, production value and creative use of paper.
The 12 winning labels, coming from eight different countries around the world, will be showcased in a beautiful calendar in 2012. Following is a list of the top 2011 award winners and their respective prizes:
Wine Category: three winners, 11 calendar positions
Food and Other Beverage Category: one winner, one calendar position
"When it comes to wine and specialty food or beverages, many people don't realize that the label is one of the most important features that differentiates the product and makes it stand out," says Chris Schneider, international marketing manager, Neenah Paper. "We created this contest to celebrate label design as the true craft that it is and award designers who have mastered the art of combining the design, the paper and the printing to represent the product and make it attractive to consumers."
