CHICAGO--Oct. 16, 2003-- Moore Wallace held its "Beyond Ink on Paper: An Integrated Print Solutions Event" this week in Chicago. "Beyond Ink on Paper" is a unique seminar designed by Moore Wallace to broaden corporate attendees' knowledge of print and print management technologies. It showcases the Company's broad spectrum of total print management products and services through workshops and displays, highlighting forms, labels, commercial print, direct mail, business communication outsourcing, distribution services and @winXS, Moore Wallace's powerful e-commerce tool. This year's event attracted more than 300 business professionals from three corporate disciplines: strategic sourcing/procurement, marketing communications, and corporate information systems. Mark A. Angelson, Moore Wallace's chief executive officer, said, "The first 'Beyond Ink on Paper' event since the merger of Moore and Wallace clearly demonstrates our significantly enhanced print management capabilities. Moore Wallace is now the leading printer for corporations, able fully to assist clients in acquiring customers, communicating with customers, and serving all their print needs. We strive to be the lowest cost operator with unmatched size and scale. We have an excellent opportunity to offer existing and potential customers the most comprehensive array of products, services and integrated technology - a true one-stop shop for their corporate print management needs." Keynote speaker Tom Peters, the innovative management guru and author/co-author of a string of international best sellers, including the landmark business book In Search of Excellence, opened the conference. Peters challenged attendees with provocative new concepts about managing in today's tumultuous business climate, demanding bold thinking and bold moves. "You can either be dragged kicking and screaming into a low-cost survival mindset," said Peters, "or you can lead the way and take an integrated solutions approach to the pressure of economic realities." Conference participants received copies of Peters' new book Re-imagine! Business Excellence in a Disruptive Age. Moore Wallace president Thomas W. Oliva said, "This continues to be a highly successful forum that brings together current and prospective clients with our experts to gain understanding and perspective of the entire Moore Wallace portfolio of integrated print solution tools. Through workshops and hands-on demonstrations, attendees learn how they can utilize our print management capabilities to better increase their efficiency and save money." Other conference speakers included Julie Anixter and Todd Badgley of Lipson Alport Glass & Associates (LAGA), a leading brand marketing and design firm, who led a workshop focused on practical, real world recommendations for powerful and consistent brands; and The Outsourcing Institute's Jim Treyz, who introduced ideas for effectively managing outsourcing relationships.
