Company Provides Further Details of 1st Presstek 75DI Sale in Europe Africa Middle East Region

HUDSON, NH, – Presstek, Inc., a leading supplier of digital offset printing solutions to the printing and communications industries, has announced the sale of a Presstek 75DI five color press to Graphicolor, its West and Central Africa distribution partner. Graphicolor has established itself as a leader in graphic arts on the African continent by serving the dual role of distributor and print service provider. They have built their business by meeting customer expectations with innovative solutions. The installation of the Presstek 75DI in Graphicolor's show room/production facility is planned for Q4 of this year.

"About 18 months ago, we installed a Presstek 52DI press which has allowed us to offer affordable and cost-effective high-quality medium run-length print solutions," said Georges Abou-Jamra, Managing Director, Graphicolor. "The new 75DI will allow us to extend these benefits to a larger format size and enable us to deliver more applications to our customers. In addition the Presstek 75DI's throughput is second to none. It goes from digital file to sellable color in only 6 minutes and prints at 16,000 impressions per hour. This will allow us to put more work through our shop in less time."

The Presstek 75DI is a highly automated 29" digital offset press that is available in 4- to 10-color configurations. It is available with a full range of productivity enhancing options, including an inline aqueous coater. The 75DI features support for 300 lpi and FM screening, 6-minute job-to-job turnover (including on-press plate imaging), and a small environmental footprint. The press prints up to 16,000 six-up sheets or 96,000 letter-sized pages per hour.
