Press release from the issuing company
GRAPH EXPO 2011, Chicago - CREO Color Servers and Xerox were recently awarded a gold medal for achievements in the digital printing, specialty category of the 2011 Gold Ink Awards. The first-place entry, a portrait titled "Metallic Girl," was produced on a XEROX Color 550 Printer with a CREO Color Server CX 560 front end. The piece will be featured in Printing Impressions magazine and www.goldink.com.
"This award demonstrates our commitment to offer superior color solutions across the full breadth of our portfolio," said Leah Quesada, VP Enterprise Business Group Marketing, Xerox. "The CREO Color Server Technology with the XEROX Color 550/560 enables our customers to spend less time managing color and more time delighting their customers."
The CREO Color Server CX 560 front end enables some of the most color-critical customers in the graphic arts and commercial print segments. Customers include PFP, in-house marketing teams, advertising agencies and those traditional offset shops adding digital assets to support short-run work.
"This segment of the marketplace demands extremely high image and color quality at a competitive price," said Chris O'Connor, VP, Global Accounts and Business Development for CREO Color Servers. "The CREO Color Servers enable commercial print service providers to affordably print short-run jobs that can match or exceed the degree of accuracy achieved with an offset press."
