ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - ILF Technologies, a world-leading supplier of web finishing solutions for the printing and converting industries, announced the appointment of sales and marketing veteran George Sanchez to director of sales, deepening its executive bench.
In his new role, Sanchez is in charge of strategic planning and account management. He is responsible for continuing the company's aggressive sales trajectory and implementing strategies to expand its global reach into traditional and new print production market segments.
"George brings a results-driven leadership style that is proactive and team-oriented," said Frank Piper, president. "George is adept at building winning teams and strengthening customer relations. He grasps the concept of how technology affects new business and sales, and is able to work closely with other departments, such as operations and product development."
Sanchez has spent the majority of his career in capital equipment sales for the print production segments of the graphic arts industry. He assumed increasing levels of leadership responsibility during a 23-year tenure at MLP U.S.A., Inc., the North American sales division of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. He helped forge partnerships with numerous printing companies throughout North America. As director of commercial web sales, he spearheaded the marketing plan for the commercial web sales group.
Prior to joining MLP U.S.A., Sanchez acted as senior contract administrator for international sales at the GOSS division of former Rockwell Graphic Systems, Ltd. He ensured that performance obligations specified in the contracts involving newspaper and commercial web press sales in Central & South American, Mexican, Asian Pacific and Middle Eastern territories were being met.
Most recently, Sanchez served as a consultant for a Digital Ink-Jet solutions supplier focusing on the commercial print, tag & label, converting and packaging market segments. He holds a bachelor of science degree in marketing management from DePaul University.
