Press release from the issuing company
ROCHESTER, N.Y., – At Graph Expo 2011, KODAK Technology is featured in more than a dozen booths throughout the show. These offerings, from workflow automation to print finishing solutions, are used to create a range of innovative applications and help leaders in the graphic communications industry better meet the demands of their customers.
Print pieces created using Digital Printing Solutions from Kodak will be transformed into finished products at this year's show. The demonstrations, which use pre-printed rolls created by the KODAK PROSPER 5000 XL Press, KODAK VERSAMARK 300W Printing System and the KODAK NEXPRESS SE3000 Digital Production Color Press, will take place at the Muller Martini (#845), Lasermax Roll Systems (#221) and Standard Finishing (#617) booths.
Muller Martini will use its PRIMERA Digital Saddle-Stitching system to transform digitally preprinted rolls from the KODAK PROSPER 5000 XL into a variety of saddle-stitched products and samples. The PRIMERA System can accommodate digital print pieces and conventional applications. PRIMERA uses a barcode intelligence system that allows it to run various jobs consecutively without any make-ready and with optimal book integrity.
Standard Finishing is also using preprinted KODAK PROSPER Press rolls and is premiering the STANDARD HUNKELER PF7 Plow-fold Module. The book How Digital Photography Works will be constructed at Graph Expo with its contents printed on the PROSPER 5000XL Press and the covers printed on the KODAK NEXPRESS SE3000 Press. When combined with the PF7 and other Standard Finishing applications, the PROSPER Press delivers a complete files-to-books system.
Completing the showcase of Kodak's finishing partners and end-to-end solutions for direct mail, books and booklets is Lasermax Roll Systems. Inside Lasermax's booth, a LASERMAX ROLL SYSTEMS STACK 2230 System will run a transpromotional application on a roll that was preprinted on a KODAK VERSAMARK 300W Printing System, creating a direct mail coupon and transactional print piece with remittance perforation.
For workflow customers, KODAK PRINERGY Workflow will be on display at the Konica Minolta (#2227), Ricoh (#2600), xpedx (#3601) and EFI (#2000) booths. KODAK Workflows, which include Rules Based Automation (RBA) and Online Print Solutions (OPS) give partners greater automation and efficiency.
Konica Minolta will showcase the newest version of the IC-307 Print Controller along with KODAK PRINERGY Workflow. Show visitors will see the comprehensive performance and connectivity that the KODAK Solutions provide when driving the KONICA MINOLTA BIZHUB Press C8000 and the KONICA MINOLTA BIZHUB Press C70hc.
Ricoh will demonstrate the integration and flexible connectivity between the RICOH C901 Color Printer, the Color Controller C-81, powered by CREO Color Server Technology and the KODAK PRINERGY Workflow. Demonstrations will highlight the advanced automation, tight integration, high-quality processing and sophisticated monitoring tools to deliver static or VDP jobs with exceptional color and image quality.
xpedx, an Authorized Reseller of KODAK Prepress and Unified Workflow Solutions in the United States, will be demonstrating KODAK Web-to-Print Solutions, including KODAK PRINERGY Workflow with Rules Based Automation (RBA) and Online Print Solutions (OPS). When integrated with KODAK PRINERGY Workflow, OPS's rich multi-channel and powerful online tools are part of a full automation process that links all key steps from job input to output on a digital press.
Show attendees will also be able to see automation and efficiency in a live demonstration of the integration between KODAK PRINERGY Workflow and EFI MIS Solutions. Booth visitors will have the opportunity to discuss their needs, hear from other customers and see firsthand how integration of Kodak and EFI solutions can help deliver real value to their bottom line.
Demonstrations of CREO Color Server Technology will be on display at the Canon booth (#1218) and the Xerox booth (#400).
Canon will show its IMAGEPRESS C7010VP digital press alongside the IMAGEPRESS A7500, powered by CREO Color Server Technology. The connectivity provided by the high-performing IMAGEPRESS A7500 Color Server delivers excellent color consistency, speed, and processing power.
Xerox will demonstrate the flexible connectivity between the XEROX Color 1000 Press and the CX 1000, powered by CREO Color Server Technology. The connectivity provides fast accurate, native rendering of PDF files, premium color and flexibility within a production environment.
