ppi Media at IFRA Expo 2011

Press release from the issuing company

Software for publishers: fast, intuitive, and standardized

Streamlined web applications, ergonomic GUIs and intelligent standard solutions are trend-setting developments on the way to an open, more modern publishing industry. ppi Media, a company of manroland, will be presenting groundbreaking solutions and ideas at Stand 410 in Hall B at the IFRA Expo 2011.

New products will be launched on the market and old ones completely revised. If, just a few years ago, software focused mainly on functional performance, today it also focuses on ergonomic GUIs and intuitive menus: a trend that is clearly reflected in ppi Media's new multimedia solutions, but also in its classic products.

ppi Media's new products are multimedia and easy to use. OM portal, ppi's customer portal, structures, visualizes, and simplifies the planning and production of jobs in a clear, user-friendly web application. mediaPreflight is a flexible solution suitable for interpreting and checking ads for print, online and mobile in all media channels. It will be introduced in detail to the general public for the first time at the IFRA Expo 2011. As in the past, SAP AG will also be present at Stand B410. This will center the focus even more on joint solutions such as AdX or payment models. "We look forward to meeting you at our stand and presenting our new and classic products, either by discussing them with you or in a demonstration," says Norbert Ohl, COO at ppi Media.

SAP Integration in AdX
A key issue for ppi Media at the IFRA Expo 2011 is AdX. This ad reservation solution combines different media channels on a central planning board. The integration of SAP IS-M/AM enables users to enter, book, and manage ads for print, online, and mobile in AdX. As a front-end for the ad booking system, AdX has, for example, reduced the number of input fields to the essential. Content-X is also extremely easy to use and creates a streamlined, efficient editorial workflow. This solution combines the Content Management System DC-X by Digital Collections, which can be viewed at the IFRA Expo 2011 in Hall A, Stand 645, and Adobe InDesign. It enables intuitive editing: in just a few steps, media-neutral texts can be published in different output channels.
