Pitney Bowes to Showcase Latest Mail Automation Innovations at Post Expo

Press release from the issuing company

Windsor, UK, – Pitney Bowes will reveal innovative ways to automate mail delivery for both public and private Posts at Post Expo (27-29 September 2011), the world's leading annual event for the international postal, express and mailing industry.

Pitney Bowes will showcase the latest additions to its mail processing portfolio at the Stuttgart event.  Attendees will have the opportunity to see first-hand how Pitney Bowes' leading hardware and software solutions can help streamline mail processes to lower operational costs – as well as enhance capabilities to further expand services.

Live demonstrations will include a close-up view of the Pitney Bowes Vantage high-speed letter sorter which is able to sort up to 45,000 mailpieces per hour. The Vantage will be equipped with a high speed in-line scale and high definition graphic printing solution, to further streamline mailing workflows

The Pitney Bowes Print+ Messenger will also be featured on the stand, a colour inkjet system that allows high-resolution colour printing of customised marketing messages on envelopes during high-speed mail insertion. Shown as a standalone unit at Post Expo, the Print+ Messenger can also be integrated into a high-speed inserting solution.

Visitors to stand 5004 in Hall 1 will also see the innovative, touch-screen Connect+ digital meter, capable of printing full-colour 1200 dpi onto envelopes at the same time as the envelope postage indicia is added.

On the software side, Pitney Bowes experts will be on hand to demonstrate the company's Production Intelligence software.  These solutions include the P/I OfficeMail solution that can help organisations move the printing of office mail from the desktop to a secure, centralised production environment, and P/I Output Manager – a tool to help mailers enhance applications with barcodes, integrity and other production capabilities.

Also on display is Pitney Bowes Mail Distribution Manager that can automate the process of tracking, tracing, routing and billing to save time, cut costs and make operations more effective.

Jürgen Küpper, Vice President, DMT Europe, at Pitney Bowes, states: "We are delighted to be exhibiting at Post Expo once again and expect a lot of interest around our latest solutions.

"The Pitney Bowes stand will appeal to public and private Posts looking to integrate high-speed, flexible, accurate and cost-efficient automation into their mail handling processes."

Attendees at Post Expo can also learn from industry experts. Wilfried Hahn, Director Product Management Sortation Solutions, Pitney Bowes, will be speaking on the topic of: "Extending the limits of postal operations: An integrated solution that reaches from Output Management to Hybrid mail around the core postal database" – on September 27th 2-4 pm.
