Enhanced Xerox Color 800/1000 Presses Turn High-Value Color Jobs Faster

Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The award-winning Xerox Color 800/1000 Presses are getting even better – with new color management automation, finishing solutions and business development support that give print providers more ways to drive sales.

Printers worldwide have used the Color 800/1000 from Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) to produce sophisticated, full-color sales collateral, direct-marketing pieces and photo publishing products. The optional clear dry inkstation amplifies full-color jobs and allows images and text to be highlighted for visual impact.

New options and programs added to the Color 800/1000 include:

  • Xerox's Automated Color Quality Suite (ACQS) – The Color 800/1000 presses are the latest devices in Xerox's production color fleet to offer ACQS, which is part of Xerox's Full Width Array technology. With ACQS, operators can quickly and easily tackle color management tasks for consistency and accuracy – delivering the exact color every time regardless of paper stock.

The Full Width Array option also includes advanced image quality adjustments, so settings like front-to-back registration can be made quickly – saving time and allowing shops to produce more high-value jobs.

  • Xerox Perfect Binder – Designed for users looking to do book applications, the in-line Perfect Binder produces high-quality, full-color bound books. The manual mode gives operators the flexibility to introduce book blocks and covers from other print devices while the Color 800/1000 is producing alternative applications, driving maximum productivity.
  • Clearly Different Program – This collection of multimedia demos, trainings, brochures and design guides helps Color 800/1000 users train their sales teams on the value of clear dry ink. Examples of the most popular and impactful applications are included to demonstrate its capabilities.

Direct Edge Media Purchases Second Color 1000 Press
Direct Edge Media owns two Color 1000 presses for one good reason – it's driving more business.

"We purchased our first Color 1000 press less than a year ago and it has driven our color digital business growth faster than we expected. The color is outstanding and our clients rave about it," said Ryan Brueckner, CEO, Direct Edge Media. "The image quality and color consistency of the press put us far ahead of our competitors."

The Southern California-based company uses the presses to produce collateral generated from their own proprietary web-to-print solution for clients in the restaurant and healthcare industries.

The enhanced Xerox Color 1000 Press will be on display in Xerox booth No. 400 at Graph Expo 2011, Sept. 11-14 in Chicago.
