DENVER, CO – With today's launch of QuarkXPress 9.1 and App Studio, Quark becomes the only vendor in the digital publishing industry to allow its channel partners to sell licenses that enable their customers to publish content to the iPad.

App Studio, a new component of QuarkXPress 9.1, allows designers to create branded apps for the iPad, distribute apps through the Apple App Store, and design and publish content that can be purchased and downloaded from within their apps. Now Quark's worldwide network of QuarkXPress Authorized Resellers can also sell App Studio licenses and issue packs to their customers.

"App Studio is making digital publishing to the iPad accessible to everyone because it puts designers at the center of the publishing process and is affordable," said Geredith Gonzalez, director of North American desktop sales for Quark. "By extending the ability to sell App Studio licenses and issue packs to our worldwide network of channel partners, we expect not only to expand the reach of App Studio, but increase revenue for our resellers and add value for their customers."

All of Quark's Authorized Resellers are eligible to sell App Studio licenses and issue packs, including Apple Specialist Resellers. Quark is also offering special education pricing associated with App Studio that will be available to the channel to sell as well.
