The TOPS program will be officially launched in North America at Graph Expo 2011.

The intention of the program is to benchmark current performance levels, and then dramatically increase the performance of existing presses. This is achieved by optimizing the quality of consumables and identifying the most harmonious settings for achieving the best combination of press performance and lowest total cost. This approach resulting in a faster, smoother, and better organized print operation, with less waste.

TOP scrutinizes the color management process between prepress and press. During the analysis phase, quality reproduction is corrected and optimized. The manroland PressManager console is optimized to provide accurate preset values, resulting in lower press waste and increased quality.

The TOP Program ultimately measures and improves all aspects of press operations, including the print quality, speed, operational availability, and minimizes setup and makeready times. After the initial press analysis is complete, a to-do list is submitted to the printing company, It can then decide which actions to address at what time, including training for the press crews, maintenance and recalibration, software updates, or upgrades and retrofits.
