HP Scitex FB7500 Printer delivers competitive advantage over screen printers
PALO ALTO, Calif., – HP today announced that Los Angeles-based CR&A Custom has purchased an HP Scitex FB7500 Printer, enabling the company to capture new business opportunities by competing with screen printers for high-volume, rigid signage applications.
CR&A Custom selected the printer over competitive offerings as a result of its unique combination of speed, versatility and quality as well as the company's long-standing partnership with HP. Delivering the highest productivity of digital flatbed printers in its price class,(1) the HP Scitex FB7500 Printer features a low cost per sheet, outstanding media versatility and efficient, three-quarter automated loading. The device joins CR&A Custom's broad portfolio of HP equipment, including HP Scitex XL1500, XP5300, TJ8500 and LX800 Printers.
"Our company has the ability and horsepower to compete with any large printing firm, yet we're small enough to move on a dime and deliver quality service, which is our edge," said Masoud Rad, chief operating office, CR&A Custom. "We've been on a 25 percent growth pattern for the past five years and the HP Scitex FB7500 Printer is another important tool to allow us to continue meeting the growing demands of our diverse customer base."
Incorporated in 1993, CR&A Custom serves Fortune 500 companies throughout North America as well as local shops and small businesses for printing needs including retail graphics, car and building wraps, point-of-purchase displays and tradeshow graphics. Primarily a digital printing shop, the company occasionally has a need to subcontract high-volume rigid projects to screen printing facilities. With the installation of the HP Scitex FB7500 Printer, CR&A Custom is poised to keep this business in house and grow with its customers as it has done in flexible applications with the HP Scitex TJ8500 Printer.
"CR&A Custom's installation of the HP Scitex FB7500 Printer is yet another example of the company's dedication to investing in innovative technologies that support customer needs," said Jan Riecher, vice president and general manager, Graphics Solutions Business – Americas, HP. "With this new equipment, CR&A Custom will be poised to match its clients' buying patterns and maximize profits by meeting a gamut of printing demands from global brands in-house."
Designed for fast-paced, industrial printing environments, the HP Scitex FB7500 Printer offers a versatile UV flatbed printing solution for a variety of outdoor and indoor applications and a compelling digital alternative to screen and litho devices. With maximum speeds of up to 95 sheets (3.2 x 1.65m) per hour and three-quarter automated loading to reduce idle time between sheets by up to 85 percent(2) with only one operator, the printer allows customers to enjoy greater productivity with an automated and efficient workflow.
