RR Donnelley Logistics Earns Second Five-Year Contract From LaSalle Bank

Press release from the issuing company

WILLOWBROOK, Ill., Jan. 21 -- RR Donnelley Logistics has earned a five-year contract from LaSalle Bank, one of the Midwest's largest banks with nearly $58 billion in assets, to manage the expedited delivery of check deposits and mail for processing between all of the bank's 140 Chicagoland area branches and three operating sites. This is the second five-year contract that LaSalle Bank has awarded to RR Donnelley Logistics since the companies first began working together in 1998. In addition to providing same-day distribution of checks and mail, RR Donnelley Logistics will continue to develop leading-edge technology solutions for LaSalle Bank. For instance, their bar-code scanning solution equips couriers with either a radio-frequency or remote barcode scanner, providing more visibility and an opportunity to continuously improve efficiencies. The courier makes a series of scans, including the pickup site, the commodity and the destination site, then downloads the scanned data to RR Donnelley Logistics' online transaction management system. The scanned data offers a complete audit trail of what's moving between LaSalle Bank's operation sites and their branch locations. "I am pleased to continue our long relationship with RR Donnelley Logistics as our logistics provider," said J. Walter Toone, vice president of office services for LaSalle Bank. "It has become clear over time that they offer the lowest total cost solution and have provided us with excellent service and leading-edge logistics technology." Chuck Fattore, president of expedited services for RR Donnelley Logistics said, "We're extremely pleased to continue our relationship with LaSalle Bank, one of the industry's premier financial institutions. We have enjoyed a productive partnership with LaSalle Bank over the last five years; in fact, LaSalle Bank has consistently played an important role by helping us develop customized technology solutions that are tailor-made for large financial institutions. We're looking forward to the opportunity to serve LaSalle Bank with reliable service and innovative solutions for another five years."
