Aktietrykkeriet decided late last year to upgrade an old retainer, its KBA Compacta C214 press. The press has for 16 years been an important part in Aktietrykkeriets production and to further increase the print quality, secure productivity and uptime, it was decided to replace the existing GrafiKontrol register system. A key requirement was that the system must handle continuous register movement (so-called anti-embossing) to avoid ghosting, piling and embossing. Something that has been a problem before this upgrade. The press is now equipped with DCOS DRCS color-to-color register and ribbon control for two ribbons.

We have an ambition to take a position even at Heatset market and cooperation with Aktietrykkeriet is an important step in that direction for us, "said Mattias Anderson, CEO DCOS.

Roger Olsen, manager Aktietrykkeriet press: "We chose DCOS due to: ease of use, micro marks, anti-embossing, proximity to suppliers and a competitive price. The system is fast, stable, and we achieve better quality. Washing intervals has also increased and our running waste is therefore reduced. We are very pleased with the setup, solution and supplier".

The installation was completed in February this year and is now used in full.
