India's Leading Magazine Publisher Opts for vjoon K4 Cross-Media Publishing Platform

Press release from the issuing company

Vasan Publications Private Limited, one of the icons in Tamil Nadu magazine industry, has chosen vjoon K4 to replace a WoodWing system. The Chennai-based publisher tasked vjoon's integration partner Cadgraf Digitals Private Limited to deliver and install the Cross-Media Publishing Platform, saying that vjoon K4 offers ideal added value for the publishing house.

The company publishes Ananda Vikatan, the leading Tamil language weekly. Catering to a huge customer base around the world, the magazine covers politics, movies, and current events. Vasan also publishes seven other biweekly, weekly, and fortnightly magazines: Junior Vikatan, Aval Vikatan, Sakthi Vikatan, Chutti Vikatan, Nanayam Vikatan, Motor Vikatan, and Pasumai Vikatan. Each focuses on a select subject - politics, women, spiritual matters, children, personal financing, agriculture, and automobiles, respectively.

"To date, we had used a WoodWing system. But now we chose vjoon K4 because we couldn't get adequate local support for the current workflow system and vjoon K4 is a sophisticated publishing platform," notes Mr. A. R. Nallathambi, CEO, Vasan Publications Limited. "Its many features compelled us to move to vjoon K4 and convinced us that we made the right choice. All jobs are presented in a convenient hierarchical list view. vjoon K4 offers version control, workflow routing, content editing by multiple users, automatic notifications, status tracking, and variants for different languages and regional editions. Writing text in Adobe InCopy or K4 Web Editor is easy. Editors can edit their articles in a layout view or without any layout. And vjoon K4 offers an individually configurable working environment. Taken together, all these features offer us optimum added value."

"vjoon K4 covers all of Vasan Publications' comprehensive demands today, and it is ready for all future demands. vjoon K4 will boost efficiency. The editorial system will save time and money, and help make the most of Vasan Publications' manifold magazines," says Mr. A. Elangovan, Managing Director, Cadgraf Digitals.
