Press release from the issuing company
Finishing Resources of Minneapolis, Minnesota has been appointed as the U.S. distributor for Zechini Gra.For Srl of Vinodrome, Italy. Zechini was established in 1952, and produces hard-cover binding and finishing systems. Recognizing the changing nature of book production, Zechini has concentrated on manufacturing systems for short-run hard-cover production.
Zechini has just announced the Roby Junior 2 short-run case-making system. Roby Junior 2 is the most flexible and easiest-to-use case-maker available today.
The machine features a fully automatic board feeder which automatically feeds and positions the board pieces in perfect register onto the cover material. Roby Junior 2 has an adhesive system which can apply either hot-melt adhesive, or cold glue. A The built-in turning-in system will process different board materials and thicknesses without any adjustments needed.
The vacuum table holds the cover sheet material in place, and an incorporated corner-cutter allows the operator to prepare the cover material on the same workspace. The entire machine has been designed so that an operator can start to produce high-quality cases in a minimum amount of time.
Ergonomics also played a big part, as the machine can be operated for long periods without stress on the operator. It's also compact, able to fit into small and "tight" spaces easily. Roby Junior 2 can produce up to 200 cases per hour.
Single-piece, three-piece, and four and five-piece cases can be produced, making Roby Junior 2 the ideal short and medium-run production system for hard-cover, photo books, loose-leaf binders, and specialty cases.
