Peter Walczak has been appointed director of product management for Goss International’s new Sunday Vpak web offset packaging press systems. Walczak will lead Goss International’s product development efforts in the packaging sector, with a focus on aligning Goss resources and technology with the requirements of folding carton, label and flexible packaging producers.
 
“Peter has been a key leader in our packaging program from day one and he brings high levels of energy, expertise and responsiveness to this position,” explains Jacques Navarre, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Goss International. “He can drive our game changing Vpak press technology forward according to the specialized demands of our customers in the packaging sector.”
 
Goss International introduced the Sunday Vpak packaging presses in 2010, adapting proven technology from its gapless blanket Sunday commercial web press platform. The variable repeat Vpak presses provide new wide-web offset options for high-speed, high-quality folding carton, flexible packaging and label applications.
 
Walczak joined the company in 1981 as a sales representative after earning a bachelor’s degree in printing technology from The Rochester Institute of Technology. He has held sales, service, technical sales and product management positions, supporting various Goss web offset press models.
