Press release from the issuing company

Zaandam, The Netherlands – WoodWing Software, an innovation leader in the tablet-publishing world, announced today that Time Inc. demonstrated Sports Illustrated on the Motorola Xoom tablet using WoodWing's Tablet Publishing Solution and its native Android 3.0 Reader App.

The Android 3.0 OS is optimized for devices with larger screen sizes, particularly tablets. Android 3.0 attracts users through a new interface design that provides enhanced interaction, navigation and customization. Android 3.0 also offers new multitasking and connectivity options. A number of vendors – including LG, Samsung, and Motorola – presented new tablet devices running Android 3.0 at the Mobile World Congress.

Android is ready to further increase market share in the tablet world
"At the Mobile World Congress, Google has clearly shown that Android will also become an indispensable platform for publishers," said Erik Schut, President of WoodWing Software. "With our Tablet Publishing Solution, we enable publishers to deliver the same outstanding media experience on all of the relevant tablet platforms."

Multi-Screen functionality for efficient multi-platform tablet publishing
Publishers around the world aim to create content for multiple tablet devices. The various operating systems are not the main problem. Instead, the primary challenge lies in the different aspect ratios of the tablet displays. The recently introduced Multi-Screen functionality in WoodWing's Tablet Publishing Solution ensures a highly efficient tablet-publishing workflow even when creating content for different devices.
