Xerox, XMPie highlight future of marketing communications at PODi AppForum

Press release from the issuing company

Las Vegas – Marketers are creating clutter-busting communications featuring new technologies such as QR codes, with the help of Xerox Corporation and XMPie, A Xerox Company – on display next week at the PODi AppForum.

Attendees will learn how data-driven marketing efforts can pump up response rates by attaching relevant ideas, images and information to a print piece - complemented by personalized URLs (PURLs) and QR codes to drive online and mobile engagement.

XMPie will sponsor and power the AppForum QR Code Challenge Contest, where show goers can hunt for answers to trivia questions hidden in plain sight, using QR codes. Participants are entered into a drawing for an iPad.  XMPie's Automatic Dynamic Object Replacement (ADOR) technology seamlessly aligns each QR code with various elements of a personalized marketing piece.

Exploring the latest technologies and tactics

Xerox will host two discussions as part of the PODi AppForum agenda on Tuesday, Feb. 1. The first, presented in conjunction with b+p+t communication solutions, will demonstrate how Miami University of Ohio boosted enrollment in its prestigious honors program with the help of Xerox's 1:1 Lab and XMPie.

The university's personalized marketing campaign included relevant direct mail, PURLs and e-mail messages and lead to some impressive results.  For example, the incoming class size was 31 percent larger than goal, campus visits increased by 32 percent and 87 percent of PURL visitors expressed interest in future communications from the university.

The second session will feature speakers from Xerox, ColorCentric and Personera discussing opportunities in social media. Print providers will learn how to integrate social media into revenue-generating cross-media campaigns.

Xerox Premier Partners Budco and Irongate Digital will both present in the "Leading Edge" applications track, highlighting the latest in interactive tools and the potential of digital packaging solutions.
