Viki Solutions delivers enterprise portal for Transcontinental

Press release from the issuing company

Victoria, Canada – Viki Solutions, developer of online proofing and enterprise solutions for the publishing and printing industries, announces delivery of the Enterprise Portal for Transcontinental Printing. The Enterprise Portal is built on Viki’s Vsuite platform of licensable software components and provides an online customer portal that consolidates Transcontinental’s Job Assistant services, including print job submission, remote proofing, collaboration and approval. The Enterprise Portal enables single sign-on access to Transcontinental’s distributed network of Kodak InSite Prepress Portal Systems and allows for future integration with new customer services.

“We’ve worked with the Viki team members for many years and were excited to engage with them again on this new project,” said Michel Cournoyer, System Architect for Transcontinental Printing. “The Enterprise Portal delivers the reliable and highly available service that our customers depend on and will scale to meet our future growth. It integrates seamlessly with our single sign-on architecture, allowing for a consistent customer experience throughout our online service offerings.”

“With our Vsuite platform of reusable software components, we’re able to rapidly deploy custom solutions like the Enterprise Portal,” said Afshin Mirmotahari, Chief Executive Officer of Viki Solutions. “The total cost of the solution is considerably less than developing a custom project from the ground up and the capabilities of the components continually evolve as we extend them with each new deployment.” The Enterprise Portal incorporates the Vportal, Vbase and Vbridge components, as well as custom development to meet the specific integration requirements of Transcontinental.

Cournoyer and Mirmotahari both look forward to working together on future projects to develop additional services for Transcontinental customers and achieve improved management and efficiency of production workflows.
