2011 Wage/Benefit Study among small press and digital printers released

Crouser & Associates, Inc. has released their 2011 Wage and Benefit Study among Small Press and Digital Printers at www.crouser.com. This study, conducted in December 2010 among 270 participating companies, is a 35 page report that contains wage information on 15 different positions within the small shop including press, customer service, production manager, graphics (DTP or typesetter), bindery and delivery.
 
The report also contains information on policies relating to vacation, paid holidays, health insurance (including amount of company participation), life insurance, short term disability and retirement plans.
 
In addition, the report includes chapters written by Tom Crouser on the role of wage surveys within comprehensive wage plans; role of performance reviews in setting wages; what a performance review is and is not; why you should never pay too much or too little for a specific job; as well as Tom Crouser's specific recommendations on vacation and holiday policies.
