Brimfield, OH - Hess Print Solutions, a provider of accountable print performance solutions and other value-added services for catalogs, books, publications and educational printed products, announced today that it has named Fred Cooper, Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Cooper is a seasoned business executive with some twenty years of financial experience largely in the print, direct marketing and advertising industry.
Mr. Cooper most recently held the position of Chief Financial Officer of Operations at Vertis Communications. While at Vertis, Mr. Cooper directed the company through several acquisitions and divestitures, facilitated implementation of lean and continuous improvement throughout the organization, developed and mentored an efficient and effective financial organization and partnered with Senior Executives to optimize operational performance and business profitability.

Prior to his most recent position, Mr. Cooper held executive financial positions with American Forest Products, The Black & Decker Corporation and Coca-Cola Enterprises. Mr. Cooper graduated with a BS in Business Administration from The American University in Washington D.C. and then later obtained a J.D. from the University of Maryland, School of Law.
Mr. Cooper succeeds William Steckel who has moved on to pursue other opportunities.
