Press release from the issuing company
Gent, Belgium and Victoria, Canada - Enfocus and Viki Solutions today announce the first stage in what is anticipated to be a multi-level partnership. In this initial phase, Viki is incorporating Enfocus PitStop preflight technology in its Vsuite platform of custom software solutions. Viki is also planning to bring Enfocus' Switch automation platform into its portfolio.
Viki Solutions, which was founded by former Creo/Kodak engineers, is drawing on its extensive experience in bringing online proofing, web-to-print, and automated production to customers around the world. The organization serves clients who are print and marketing service providers, as well as those who provide custom publishing and packaging workflows.
"We didn't have to look far," says Afshin Mirmotahari, Viki Chief Executive Officer, of the company's search for a preflight solution. "Enfocus is the market leader and has the best technology for our needs. The company is also very easy to approach and work with." Mirmotahari expects that Viki's customers will provide higher-value remote proofing services and improve the efficiency of their production workflows through seamless integration of preflight capabilities.
"The integration was really simple for us," Mirmotahari continues. "Within a day, we automated preflight processing for our Vproof online proofing component. Vproof shows the PDF elements with preflight warnings and errors, as well as those that were automatically corrected by PitStop."
"Viki is a first-class group of developers and marketers who are ideally positioned to leverage Enfocus software in the publishing and printing industries," Alex Hamilton, Director of Business Development, Enfocus Software. "We have known of their work for many years, and having them select Enfocus to enhance their own solutions is a compliment. We look forward to a great working relationship!"
Mirmotahari is also impressed by Enfocus' track record in bringing innovative products to market, and looks forward to working with the company on future developments including Switch integration and cloud deployment.
