Xerox maintains managed print services lead in Europe

Press release from the issuing company

Rochester, N.Y. - Analyst research group Quocirca named Xerox Corporation a market leader in managed print services (MPS) in its European Vendor "MPS Comes of Age" report, 2010.  For the second year in a row, Quocirca awarded Xerox a leading position, recognizing its global presence, offerings that extend beyond the office to the print shop and virtual workers, and business process outsourcing and IT outsourcing expertise.

The report, which provides an overview of the changing landscape of MPS across Europe, highlights Xerox's history of delivering results to businesses of all sizes - and the fact that since 2001, 100 percent of Xerox's large enterprise MPS clients continue to renew their contracts.

"Xerox's continued leadership position reflects the fact that larger enterprises are increasingly looking for innovation and business-process improvement as well as cost savings," said Louella Fernandes, principal analyst, Quocirca. "Xerox's strong market performance can be attributed to extending traditional managed print services across the enterprise to include the office, in-house production print, as well as complementary offerings in business process outsourcing and IT outsourcing."

Quocirca expects Xerox will extend its market leadership in 2011 as it deepens its footprint in large enterprise accounts by linking traditional Xerox offerings with those of ACS, A Xerox Company.  The return on Xerox's investment in ACS, which created the world's leading enterprise for business process and document management, comes to customers in the form of more automation with less paperwork, resulting in faster transactions and simpler business processes - giving them more freedom to focus on their core business.

After nearly tripling its services business to $10 billion, the growing list of Xerox customers benefitting from the collective expertise includes Atos Origin, Entergy Corporation, Ingersoll Rand and Procter & Gamble.

To bolster its market position, Xerox continues to make investments to support and expand its range of MPS offerings. Xerox Enterprise Print Services helps businesses gain control of documents being printed, shared and stored across the entire enterprise - whether in the office, by mobile and home workers, or in the print center.

Xerox also extends its offering to small and mid-sized businesses via the company's global network of channel partners, who can build a self branded MPS program with Xerox support and training.

"Being recognized by Quocirca as market leader for the second year running highlights our strength and our ability to grow and innovate as the arena rapidly matures," said Stephen Cronin, president, Xerox Global Document Outsourcing. "Xerox is poised to stay ahead as other companies attempt to get a foothold in this growing space. We'll build on our leadership in document management and integrate our newly acquired
service offerings."

Xerox was also positioned by Gartner, Inc., in the Leaders Quadrant in the 2010 Magic Quadrant for Managed Print Services Worldwide  and the company was recognized as a leader in IDC's Worldwide and U.S.
