Leading B2B publisher upgrades to QuarkXPress 8

Press release from the issuing company

London – Quark announced today that business-to-business (B2B) publisher Link Publishing has upgraded its production suite to QuarkXPress 8.

Link Publishing is a leading publisher of trade titles for the printing and signage industries that provides up-to-the-minute news, in-depth features, and commentary from industry experts through its two flagship titles: Print Monthly and SignLink. Link Publishing also produces the annual Print Directory and Sign Directory, providing comprehensive listings for print services from over 10,000 companies.

Stewart Genovese, senior designer at Link Publishing said, "From my previous experience using QuarkXPress with other firms, I have always found it to be the most efficient, intuitive, and precise desktop publishing program. At Link Publishing we need our desktop publishing software to be an aid, not an obstacle, to producing our magazines. QuarkXPress 8's added functionality offers that and, particularly when producing directories, it is becoming more and more important that we have the full power of dedicated publishing software."

"We considered some of Quark's competitors but I feel that Quark offers the most well-rounded and versatile option. Not only am I more familiar with it, but it has also been scooping up all the top accolades this year," Genovese continued.

Gavin Drake, vice president of marketing for Quark, said, "We are pleased to have Link Publishing join a host of publishers that are taking advantage of the modern and intuitive interface of QuarkXPress 8, as well as making the most of its powerful text manipulation and editing features. The editorial staff at Link Publishing benefits from the complete functionality of QuarkXPress 8 to deliver high-quality, informative, and engaging features in each issue of their magazines. Working in the same, familiar print environment of QuarkXPress 8, designers at Link Publishing can take existing print jobs to Flash (SWF), or create new Flash projects, in minutes - no additional purchase or coding required."
