Industrial Inkjet Ltd exhibits at the Society of Imaging Science and Technology

Press release from the issuing company

Industrial Inkjet Ltd (IIJ) exhibited at the Society of Imaging Science and Technology (IS&T) 2010, recently held in Austin, Texas USA. This was the twenty-sixth IS&T 2010 International Conference that united two great conferences, Non-Impact Printing (NIP26) and Digital Fabrication (DF2010), featuring technical session of interest to the imaging science community.

The company had a table top exhibit displaying samples printed on IIJ's single-pass inkjet print engine systems, using Konica Minolta printheads. On display were print samples up to 11 inches wide of labels, credit cards and decorated plastic parts from single pass printing. Also textiles and other application samples were shown, using aqueous, UV cured, white and varnish inks.

"This event is where technical experts present papers on research and development in digital printing or fabrication and there was a great deal of interest in our products" - said Laura Kitzmann, Business Development Manager, USA. "Our exhibit was visited by many conference delegates. Most visitors were technical professionals from companies producing imaging and fabrication equipment or materials and many represented academia. Of most interest was the single pass capability of Konica Minolta printheads and IIJ print engines. The small footprint and 4 picoliter drop size of Konica Minolta's printheads seemed to be of particular interest as were the specifications of new printheads in development at Konica Minolta".

Conference participants had the opportunity to attend a presentation by John Corrall, Managing Director of Industrial Inkjet Ltd. (UK), who's paper was entitled, "Effect of Print Resolution in Single-Pass Inkjet Printer Design".  Mr Corrall presented IIJ test data that showed surprising print performance results using a variety of print resolution settings.

Although the company did not exhibit print engine systems, great interest by conference attendees was generated by the demonstration of single-pass print samples and single-pass digital technology on display. In total, the Society of Imaging Science and Technology (IS&T) NIP26/DF2010 was a success for Industrial Inkjet Ltd (IIJ).

Print samples and more information on products are available upon request from Industrial Inkjet, as is information on the IIJ paper "Effects of Print Resolution in Single-Pass Inkjet Printer Design".
