CHICAGO, September 28, 2003 – Heidelberg today announced the expansion of its wide range of high quality, value added Consumable Products to include the newest Heidelberg Consumable product, the Saphira Quickplate 46. The New Saphira Quickplate 46 with the Quickmaster DI 46 produces press sheets that are cleaner, sharper and have superior consistency. The Saphira Quickplate 46 has a special unique design that allows the QM DI to produce jobs that are well defined with hard-edged structures that are extremely accurate and consistent and are capable of run lengths in excess of 20,000 impressions. Several Heidelberg Consumable products such as the Saphira Violet Plate, the Cristala Quickplate Silver Polyester Plate and Heidelberg's Consumable Proofing solutions can be bundled with Heidelberg equipment solution systems to lower the cost of ownership for Heidelberg customers. Also being demonstrated at Graph Expo are the capabilities of Heidelberg’s Online Shop. The Heidelberg Online Shop was created to give Heidelberg customers the option to order consumables online and other products without ever leaving their home 24 hours a day. This reduces down time and provides the customer with convenience and an easy to use system.
