Delphax Technologies Presents High-Speed Digital Printing Solutions At Graph Expo
Press release from the issuing company
MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 26 -- Delphax Technologies Inc., a global provider of high-speed digital printing and publishing systems, will be presenting information about its line of powerful, ultra high-speed digital printing solutions at Graph Expo 2003, Booth #1780 in McCormick Place, Chicago, beginning September 28, 2003. Presentations will cover the highly productive capabilities and advantages of Delphax presses and explore actual applications of Delphax systems now being used by leading companies in a wide range of printing markets, such as book publishing, direct mail, commercial, and financial.
During the show, Delphax will continue to participate in the ongoing Books For Schools program to donate books for classroom use to Chicago's public school system. The Books For Schools Program was conceived and launched by Delphax with great success earlier this year at the On Demand Digital Printing and Publishing Expo in New York. The Graph Expo edition of the Books For Schools program is being implemented in conjunction with several industry partners, with Muller Martini serving as the principal partner for the current edition. Other key supporting program partners include Stralfors Inc., Boise Paper Solutions, HP Indigo, and Colter-Petersen. Delphax will produce the printed book blocks of three literary classics on its CR1300 ultra-high speed digital web press. The book titles being produced include Peter Pan, Last of the Mohicans, and a Short Collection of Sherlock Holmes Mysteries. The Books For School program enables the participating partners to provide worthy recipients with valuable printed materials produced as a result of their demonstration activities. The next edition of the Books For Schools program is planned for the On Demand 2004 show in New York.
Visitors to Delphax booth #1780 will have an opportunity to view a new publishing solutions video featuring the CR1300 system which runs from roll stock to delivery of untrimmed books at a continuous throughput speed of 300 feet per minute. Driven by the new Unify™ Delphax HV Print Server dynamic front end, the CR1300 is capable of producing an industry-leading 2400 book size pages per minute (6" by 9") throughput at 600 x 600 dpi.
With the integrated Unify server, Delphax CR Series digital printing systems offer a dynamic, user-friendly solution for their high-volume PostScript, PDF and PCL printing requirements. The versatile digital printing systems in the Delphax CR Series are capable of handling a wide spectrum of substrates, ranging from ultra-lightweight paper to heavy stocks. This level of flexibility is important to printers who need systems capable of handling a wide range of potential jobs.
In the week prior to Graph Expo 2003, Delphax also is demonstrating the CR1300 equipment solution at the IGAS 2003 (International Graphic Arts Show) Expo in Tokyo, Japan. Toray Engineering Co. Ltd., will be hosting Delphax in its booth at the event.
