Press release from the issuing company
Chicago – Dscoop (Digital Solutions Cooperative) announced that its presence within the HP booth and special education and networking events at GRAPH EXPO earlier this month were highly successful and attracted a number of renewing and new Partners for its 2011 Partner Program.
“Dscoop continues to drive education for all participants in the HP digital printing space and brings customers and vendors closer together,” said Eric Hawkinson, executive director of Dscoop. “For our 2011 Partner Program, we’re focused on delivering valuable year-round partnership opportunities for third-party vendors and HP. We are more than just a tradeshow—Dscoop offers relevant, value-added opportunities for vendors to get in front of potential customers in an educational setting 365 days a year through Webinars, member communications and more.”
Based on current projections and verbal commitments, Dscoop Platinum partnerships for 2011 are sold out. Confirmed Platinum Partners for 2011 are EskoArtwork, GPA, MindfireInc, Pageflex by Bitstream, Unibind and xpedx. Vendors are still able to sign up for Gold or Bronze Partnerships. Gold Partnerships are limited to 25 vendors, and Dscoop also expects to sell out of that allocation before the end of November.
“The Dscoop conferences are action-packed with a plethora of tools and strategic insights for attendees to bring back to their businesses to create immediate results. The industry leaders who attend are eager to share their knowledge and help businesses harness the incredible potential of HP Graphic Arts technology,” said Ron Pergande, product manager at GPA. “GPA is a long-time supporter of Dscoop because of the value that everyone gains in the community.”
New this year, Dscoop is hosting the Partner Summit in conjunction with its annual conference, Dscoop6, Feb. 17-19, 2011, in Orlando, Fla. The Partner Summit offers Partners the unprecedented opportunity to showcase their capabilities and will be held Feb. 18-20, 2011, at the Marriott World Center Orlando Hotel.
“Dscoop is leading the charge in uniting the digital community, facilitating the vendors, HP and customers to come together in an innovative sharing environment,” said Jan Riecher, vice president and general manager, Americas Graphics Solutions Business, HP Imaging and Printing Group. “Dscoop is changing the face of the industry and enacting the vision of a new roadmap for HP Graphic Arts users.”
At the Partner Summit, all Gold Partners receive a 20-minute speaking opportunity at Dscoop6, invitation to attend a briefing by HP executives and Research & Development Lab session, a session led by HP’s Alon Bar-Shany, and Solutions Showcase hours on Sunday to introduce products and solutions.
Vendors are encouraged to submit their intent to participate in the Dscoop 2011 Partner Program before November 15, 2010, when the Partner fees are scheduled to increase.
In addition to the success on the show floor, Dscoop welcomed 800 members to its GRAPH EXPO party, sponsored by HP, GPA, MindfireInc and NewPage, and more than 200 members to its Leadership Breakfast and Panel.
Dscoop also honored David Smith, business development director at Williams Visual Solutions and Dscoop Board member, for his contributions, including dedicating time to committees and volunteering to host Webinars and write newsletter articles.
“David has given Dscoop 110 percent; he is the epitome of what Dscoop stands for—sharing, interacting and helping other members,” said Larry Vaughn, Dscoop chairman. “I am grateful that he and all of our volunteers give so much of their time to making Dscoop a success.”
