Press release from the issuing company
Carsten Stölting (39), previously head of manroland's Print Technology Center in Augsburg, will become the Managing Director at the manroland subsidiary Werner Lies GmbH in Neuhausen near Stuttgart. Werner Lies GmbH is the leading European blanket processor. Carsten Stölting will replace long-time former proprietor and Managing Director Werner Bayer, who will retire at the end of 2010.
Werner Lies GmbH has been a member of the manroland Group since 2008. With sales of approximately 16 million euros and around 50 employees, it is the leading processor of offset blankets in Europe. Werner Lies' service portfolio allows manroland to ensure timely, high-quality blanket delivery throughout Europe. Blankets are a major system component in the offset printing process.
This demands not only strong functional features, but also excellent processing quality. Werner Lies has an excellent command of diverse processing methods: offset blankets are cut using state-of-the-art CNC-controlled cutting and barring machines, and adjusted to the respective machine configuration. As a typical printcom product, production reliability is the major factor that customers need to rely on for blankets. The accuracy and experience found in the manroland Group are ideal prerequisites. printcom products and expertise provide a decisive contribution to print quality, productivity, and performance throughout the entire service life of the printing system.
Carsten Stölting explains: "The special challenge involved in this new task is to continue expanding the long-time customer relationships and to boost the company's excellent reputation as a reliable partner to print shops. In the medium term, we plan a consistent expansion of international business relations, also beyond European borders, as well as the continued development of the product portfolio. My vision for the company, especially in relation to our strong collaboration with and integration in the manroland Group, is to set new benchmarks for product quality and the product portfolio, as well as to establish innovative sales and service models for our customers."
Werner Bayer summarizes: "Over the past three years, I have been pleased to play a vital part in the integration of our family business into the manroland Group. Now, after 54 years of commitment, I see my life's work and that of my father-in-law in very good hands."
