Alsdorf/Gelsenkirchen, Germany - Trade foil finishing specialist Günter Thomas (GT) Produktion is known for the implementation of state of the art technology. At GT's production site in Alsdorf, the Gietz "FSA 1060 Foil Commander" in the 76 x 106 cm size range sets new standards due to its fast reaction times.

Gietz AG in Gossau, St Gallen, is a traditional Swiss family business, managed by the 5th generation. Foil stamping machines from Gietz are operating successfully worldwide since more than 50 years. Their core competence in foil stamping is well defined: industry leading products from professionals for professionals. 

GT Produktion is a specialized manufacturer of outstanding, high quality trade finished print products. At the Alsdorf location, the emphasis is placed on a variety of stamping applications. The new foil stamping machine "FSA 1060 Foil Commander" from Swiss machine manufacturer Gietz opens up interesting prospects technically and economically for GT Produktion and their clientele. "This machine is very special because of its short reaction times. It enables us to meet even better than before the most demanding of requirements and continuously increasing requests of our customers" explains Otto Lau, Managing Director of GT Produktion.

Since the nineteen-seventies, Günter Thomas, founder of the company, has  focused on the conception of outstanding print products and turning all kinds of printed matter into real optical and haptical events by different trade finishing procedures.

With a trade finishing plant in Alsdorf and two more in Gelsenkirchen, GT Produktion offers the complete spectrum: laminating, varnishing, foil stamping, embossing, binding. New finishing methods are continuously being developed and latest technical innovations established.

In addition to GT's production sites, the creative development centre GT Trendhouse 42 is located in the Gelsenkirchen main building, directly at the highway A42. GT Trendhouse 42 achieves extraordinary results with their creations of paper, board and foil to sensualise brands by optical and haptical effects. In specialized groups, Trendhouse designs sophisticated print solutions from scratch including foils, trend laminations, blind embossing, combination stamping and embossing, die-cutting, paper finishing and binding techniques. These can be e.g. covers of books, magazines or catalogues, business reports or packaging solutions such as all kinds of cardboard folding boxes or cartons.

The Gietz "FSA 1060 Foil Commander" features the patented VACUFOIL foil transportation system with up to 4,500 m foil lengths. The   of 350 tons of pressure combined with the long inherent dwell time supports the optimal release of the foil from even the most difficult substrate surfaces, as stated by the machine manufacturer Gietz. Otto Lau of GT Produktion confirms: "Even at maximum production speeds we achieve excellent stamping qualities and high production outputs".

In cooperation with foil manufacturers such as Univacco, Kurz and Peyer, GT Produktion Alsdorf produces  the most diverse foil and embossing combinations from folding boxes up to magazine covers. GT's partners for stamping tools are famous companies i.e. Hinderer + Mühlich and Häge.
