Strine Printing, the Largest Independent Large Format printer in North America adds its fifth manroland Large Format press.  The fifth Large Format press for Strine, a ROLAND 906XXL size 7B (64") high speed offset press with coater will be installed early 2011.

This Pennsylvania print powerhouse continues to generate explosive growth since installing four ROLAND 900 Large Format presses and now plans on adding a ROLAND900XXL Large Format.   Together with four conventional forty inch presses, three forty inch perfecting presses, three variable print digital presses and three ultra large flat bed digital printers, no job is too large or small.  Strine has the right press for every demand.

Determining the Future
2009 marked the 10th anniversary of Strine Printing Company's York, PA packaging facility.  The facility helped usher in a new era of explosive growth, which began in 2003 with the decision to purchase the firm's first Large Format press, a 55-inch 6-color ROLAND 900 XXL.  The goal was to move beyond the saturated 40-inch market to deliver a wider range of folding carton, point-of-purchase and packaging work. 

The point was, "To separate ourselves from competition." as Dave Kornbau, VP of Operations put it then.

Confirming the Vision
A few short months later, VP Dave Kornbau reconfirms that decision, "We've promised our customers we'd provide the latest and the greatest and we have just reiterated that pledge with the addition of the last XXL."

The fifth press, a ROLAND 900 XXL large format offset printing press system is fully equipped and customized to Strine's specifications with InlineColorPilot, System Brunner okBalance for grey balance evaluation and control to insure world class color reproduction on the sixty four (64) inch wide stock, addressing the POP and POS markets.
