New York, New York - Thirty nationally-recognized companies are sponsoring the Printing Industries Alliance's upcoming 2010 Franklin Event to date, with additional supporters anticipated. More than 500 senior executives from the printing, advertising, publishing and graphic sectors are expected to attend the popular annual gala scheduled for Wednesday, September 29 (5:30-10:00 pm) at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan.

"In addition to a stellar roster of 2010 honorees, receiving this year's John Peter Zenger Award will be Kiritin Beyer, a New York City-based freelance photographer", announced Franklin Event Chair Cheryl Kahanec (Sandy Alexander, Inc.). "Ms. Beyer will be honored for Exceptional Community Service for her extensive volunteerism in Haiti during that nation's recent earthquake." The medal is given to an individual employed in the graphic communications industry who has exhibited exemplary character in the form of selfless courage, charity, activism or service (military or community).
The industry's highest honor, the Franklin Event for Distinguished Service, will be bestowed upon legendary music industry pioneer, Clive Davis, Chief Creative Officer for Sony Music Entertainment, for his national and international achievements. Power of Communications Awards recipients include (For Printing) Hallie Satz, Vice Chair, Phoenix Lithographing/CEO, HighRoad Press; For Catalog Publishing, Valerie Merone, Executive Vice President, Victoria's Secret Direct; and For Magazine Publishing, Scott Masterson Senior Vice President and General Manager, FORBES Magazines.
