SAN LUIS OBISPO: Cal Poly's Graphic Communication Institute (GrCI) is partnering with two leading media consulting firms in the United States to present back-to-back executive training seminars in December: Lean Leadership, and Convergence of Print, Internet and Wireless. Raine Consulting and Schnoll Media Consulting have been major players in the field of “Lean Thinking,” and emerging technologies in the graphic arts. This partnership is a first for the Institute, and provides an opportunity for university-industry interaction, which is the premise that the Institute is founded on. Dr. Harvey Levenson, department head of the Graphic Communication department at Cal Poly, and interim director of the Institute, is excited about the future prospects in this partnership.
Levenson said, “Through the combined expertise of Raine Consulting, Schnoll Media Consulting, and the GrCI, we are bringing the graphic communication and related industries some of the latest thinking about doing business successfully in the 21st Century.”
These seminars are being offered December 10-12, 2003 for Lean Leadership, and December 15-17, 2003 for Convergence of Print, Internet, and Wireless. For more information, contact Teresa Bruce by e-mail (
