Press release from the issuing company
Digital Print Republic has announced today the appointment of two key industry executives to the company's Advisory Board.
"We are pleased to confirm that Andrew Tribute, industry consultant, analyst and probably the best known and most widely read print industry commentator worldwide has joined the Advisory Board," states Chris Baker, Digital Print Republic Co-Founder.
"At the same time we are delighted to welcome John Charnock, well known from his many years as Technical Director of one of the largest UK print groups, St Ives PLC," Baker continues. "Since leaving St Ives earlier in 2010, John has established a highly respected independent consultancy group, Print Research International. Both Andrew and John bring to the company a wealth of industry knowledge, experience and contacts."
Digital Print Republic, launched 18th May 2010, is an independent and global resource site for all those involved in the digital print sector or monitoring its developments. The site combines information exchange between members with an increasing range of value added products and services for printers and suppliers.
Phill Rodgers, Co-Founder of Digital Print Republic, says, "Site membership has shown impressive growth since its launch. We have almost 3,000 members from 90 countries and in those first 4 weeks they viewed over 48,000 pages. It's clear we have something to offer the digital print community and bringing Andrew and John onto the Advisory Board only strengthens our team further."
Tribute comments, "Digital Print Republic is a fantastic resource for printers and suppliers building businesses in the digital sector. When I first saw the new site at IPEX I was immediately impressed by the value it provides for members. Combining information exchange with value added products and services, being free to join and independent from any supplier or interest group makes it a unique resource. I look forward to working with the management team to further expand the range of products and services."
The Advisory Board will provide input into the strategic planning process and act as a sounding board for ideas on the website.
"Having spent many years at the highest levels of a major print group, John brings a printer's perspective to the team. Like Andrew he has a deep understanding of technology and commercial trends in the industry," says Baker.
Charnock concludes, "Having worked at the sharp end of building a digital and conventional printing group I know all about the challenges involved in forming a digital business. After reviewing Digital Print Republic's three year plan I could immediately see the potential of the site and how useful it could be for a digital printer. The company has an exciting portfolio of products and services in the wings and I encourage all those interested in digital printing, as a supplier or printer, to join."
