Graph Expo 2010 to host Xplor Document University

Reston, VA - The Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC) has announced that Xplor International (Xplor), also known as the Electronic Document Systems Association, will co-locate an Xplor Document University (XDU) program at GRAPH EXPO this fall. GRAPH EXPO 2010, the year's largest graphic communications exhibition and conference in the Americas, will take place October 3 - 6, 2010, at Chicago's McCormick Place South.

Xplor represents thousands of professionals engaged in the design, production and distribution of variable data documents. Xplor's XDU programming is regarded as among the best at providing current information on technology and business solutions in this area of transactional and variable data communications via print and the web.

"Every year, GRAPH EXPO hosts tens of thousands of graphic communications professionals who are increasingly involved in, or are interested in expanding into, digital and variable data printing," explained Ralph Nappi, GASC President. "They are hungry for more education on the complex world of digital print production. Partnering with Xplor enables us to meet our attendees' needs multiple times over: with a full array of the latest digital print technologies being demonstrated live on the show floor; superb educational programming spanning 11 key market segments and more than 20 education categories; and, now an additional set of educational sessions that focuses more specifically on the challenges and issues related to variable data printing and multi-channel marketing."

Co-locating an XDU event at GRAPH EXPO will also attract more attendees to both events, particularly in a challenging economic environment where travel budgets remain tight.

As a lead-in to GRAPH EXPO 2010 and XDU at the show, graphic communications professionals are invited to attend the 15th edition of the annual EXECUTIVE OUTLOOK Conference, which takes place the day before GRAPH EXPO 2010 on Saturday, October 2, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in McCormick Place South.  The popular technology trends update conference addresses the latest topics of interest to industry professionals. The EXECUTIVE OUTLOOK Conference will conclude with the announcement of the MUST SEE 'EMS nominees, a roundup of the most intriguing and game-changing technologies and products exhibited at GRAPH EXPO.

Recognized as the commercial printing, publishing, mailing and transactional exposition for the Americas, GRAPH EXPO 2010 themed, "The Next Generation of Print," has been designed to offer a customized show-going experience to a diverse spectrum of attendees.  The exhibition will offer the latest graphic communications technologies in live equipment demonstrations across the expansive show floor and education on the most in-demand products and profit-making opportunities.  In addition to the debut of News Print-the newspaper pavilion, attendees will find six other special interest sections on the show floor.  These include PackPrint, covering package printing; Future Print, featuring two of today's hottest technologies Printed Electronics and RFID; the Mailing & Fulfillment Center, the industry's largest mailing event anywhere in the Americas; the second annual GREENspace, a showcase on sustainability and eco-friendly products and services; and the Prepress/Software-Design and Press/Finishing sections.
