The CX Print Server supports state-of-the-art technology, such as the XEROX Clear Dry Ink for offset-like creative effects. Printers can easily achieve a spot-Clear Dry Ink-look as a special effect, to flood an entire page or to enhance a specific object to draw attention, enhance photos, simulate pearlescent or metallic appearances and more.

The innovative CX Print Server and the XEROX Colour 800/1000 Press are certified by Fogra for outstanding colour quality, stability and management tools that accurately reproduce offset-oriented colour gamuts.

Supporting Workflows of the Future -- ADOBE PDF Print Engine 2
The CX Print Server supports PDF Print Engine 2, the foundation of next-generation PDF print workflows. With accurate, native rendering of PDF files, even complex designs with graphically rich content are reproduced quickly and reliably. With the CX Printer Server, PDF Print Engine 2 consistently delivers true colour fidelity, based on modern, ICC-based colour management, while leveraging the full colour capabilities of the press.

Optional Features for Graphic Arts and Transaction Professionals
Two optional power kits expand the feature set of the CX Print Server. The Imposition Power Kit increases overall productivity in a hybrid workflow environment. Digital printing customers have more flexible and traditional imposition options that simulate offset printing. Expanded features support:
- Blended offset and digital workflow special needs
- Use of larger paper sizes in digital printing
- Very easy and intuitive imposition ganging.

The Imposition Power Kit is based on KODAK PREPS Imposition Software, one of the most widely used pieces of software in the printing industry.

The Transaction Power Kit enables the CX Print Server to print Intelligent Printer Data Stream (IPDS) originating from any AFP-enabled system or application. It will process the IPDS data stream and translate it into optimized ADOBE POSTSCRIPT files for efficient high-speed, high-volume production printing, which is especially well suited for transactional and trans-promotional printing requirements.
