Boston, MA – Snowbound Software, the leader in document viewing and conversion solutions, in ongoing efforts to offer its clients the most recent document technology innovations, has developed and released updated versions across all of the company's product lines. The new enhancements ensure optimal integration between Snowbound's leading document viewing and conversion offerings and the latest document formats including Word 2007 and PDF/A.
Snowbound's expanded file format support and newly added API calls better enable custom font support in both AFP and PDF libraries enabling broader foreign language support. Recent product enhancements in the company's RasterMaster SDK suite of document conversion integration tools include a new DocClean module that cleans scanned color, gray scale and black and white images for greater readability and OCR processing, as well as providing seamless integration to several popular OCR engines.
Snowbound's VirtualViewer product line has now transcended beyond document viewer technology exclusively, providing a powerful suite of functions that vastly improve document processing applications for mortgages and insurance claims and transportation documentation review to help meet federal requirements. Additionally new easier-to-use annotation features, including a contextual menu viewable when the user right clicks on an annotation; help facilitate easy yet secure electronic medical record management. Extended API functionality extends VirtualViewer into a uniquely valuable viewing technology which can be easily integrated, embedded and driven through a variety of industry specific applications.
