CHICAGO, IL – Having unveiled a multitude of new products at the Graph Expo show in recent years, A.B.Dick Company (booth #3419) will focus on the benefits of bundling various equipment for the annual visit to Chicago’s McCormick Place, scheduled for September 28-October 1. The company’s superior Digital PlateMaster (DPM) line will be one of the main attractions with Graph Expo serving as the first Midwest showing of the new DPM34 SC/HSC digital platesetters.
A.B.Dick Momentum Workflow software components will be prominent at the show as they hold the key to complete, cost-effective Print-to-Plate-to-Press solutions. Applica-tions including ScanMaster, MPROOF, MTRAP and IKE are designed to boost DPM productivity. They will be included in all DPM displays, which will feature the new DPM34 HSC coupled with the 4995A-ICS four-color press. Another demonstration offers the best selling DPM2340 working in tandem with a 9995A (with IKE) two-color press.
The DPM34 SC/HSC platesetters represent the next generation of award-winning DPMs and typify why A.B.Dick is the market leader in small format CTP systems. It is the first CTP device to use A.B.Dick’s outstanding ThinDrum technology, which provides perfect balance between minimum drum surface and maximum image quality. It will be paired in demonstrations at the show with the 4995A-ICS press, which is allowing more small and mid-sized printers to move into the true four-color market. A.B.Dick introduced the digitally compatible, automated press at Graph Expo last year.
A.B.Dick will have a separate DPM34 SC device and the DPM2508, a larger unit that makes plates for presses up to 20” and film for half-size models, in the booth. All DPMs are equipped with ScanMaster, a digital scanning solution that integrates hard copy originals into digital CTP workflow and IKE (Ink Key Estimator). IKE is a unique workflow solution that provides initial ink key settings for presses with a calibrated ink fountain, and reduces waste while increasing throughput.
Two-color options A.B.Dick will offer at Graph Expo include the 9995A offset press and 9980 (with IKE) duplicator. Other basic workhorse duplicators to be shown include the 9910XCD with a second color head, and the new 9920 with a newly featured, electronically (NT) controlled Townsend swing-away second head. The company will have post-press equipment on the floor, including a Watkiss Automatic SpineMaster bookletmaker with a system 3 collating device.
The highly successful Consumables division will be represented, and booth visitors will learn how easy it is to order on the web and can register for www.shop.abdick.com. The 24-hour on-line service has proven to offer the utmost in convenience and customer service while making supplies ordering a snap in five minutes or less.
