Press release from the issuing company
Newton, MA - Over 24,000 technology industry professionals gathered in Philadelphia last week for info360: AIIM Expo + Conference and ON DEMAND Conference & Expo - the largest conventions in the city - and took the opportunity to network, attend conference sessions, hear from industry leaders and look for new products and services from more than 250 exhibiting companies. The general census from exhibitors and attendees was that the co-located events were extremely worthwhile for business.
"The expo floor was packed with qualified buyers and the exhibitors were thrilled with the quality of attendees. Many reporting that they met with important buyers who were looking to make purchases," said Debra Brown, Event Director for Questex Media Group, producers of the Show. "From the ON DEMAND Show floor we heard very positive feedback from our major exhibitors including Canon, Xerox, Konica Minolta and Oce."
"ON DEMAND 2010 was a good show for us with a great combination of exhibit and hospitality events, and although preliminary, we were very pleased with the level of leads, especially the interest and excitement around the new Color 800/1000 Presses," said Tracy Yelencsics, Vice President, Production Products and Programs Marketing Global Business Group, Xerox.
"Canon has generated many leads and thousands of dollars on floor-sales because of this event. Overall, we are pleased with the booth and the success of the show – we have been coming for a while and plan to continue to be a part of this event," says Steve Milazzo, Canon's Marketing Manager.
Mike Fego, from Konica Minolta, said the show had exceeded expectations for this year's turnout. "It was a great show with the right quality of people and prospectors." Konica Minolta had a large turnout of people making their way to see their latest piece of machinery, the bizhub8000.
The attendees at ON DEMAND also weighed in. "I came to ON DEMAND Expo because it's an event to experience the newest technologies to improve and grow our business. There are always benefits with attending each year," said Rick Backus, President of Cybercon Services. A buyer from Appleton added, "I attend ON DEMAND to learn more about digital printing trends and see all the key players in one place. This year's event has helped me to establish new relationships."
On the info360 side of the Expo hall, Beth Torrey, Event Director for the event said, "The past three days exceeded our exhibitors' expectations. Many of our exhibitors reported having very successful shows, with leads from extremely qualified attendees that were ready to purchase solutions. Our conference program - which included the SharePoint 2010 Summit @ AIIM Expo, Supported by Microsoft- was very well attended, with standing room only crowds in many of the keynote and general sessions."
Attendees of 2010 info360: AIIM Expo + Conference had this to say:
I would be lost without my once a year pow-wow with industry peers. This year at AIIM, the attendance, to me at least, did not seem to take the normal steps downward. I believe this was because of some positive sentiments surfacing about economic recovery and second to Microsoft. For those interested in SharePoint 2010, you had an opportunity to learn a substantial amount of information," said Chris Riley, Sr. ECM and Image Capture Architect, ShareSquared.
"I attended the AIIM Expo + Conference as an IT Content and Collaboration Consultant. I found the 2010 event to be very valuable to my job function. The level of excitement for SharePoint was higher than expected. The exhibitor floor was packed with great resources and education," said Kelly Rusk, IT Collaboration Consultant, Concurrency Inc.
During the three-day event, info360 Exhibitors had this to say:
"info360 2010 exceeded the expectations of KnowledgeLake and our event partners. The traffic was solid, the quality high and audience qualified. Our whole experience went as smooth as silk and we couldn't have asked for a more accommodating team with Questex and AIIM. This was KnowledgeLake's first big production with AIIM, it won't be our last!" Kevin Ells, Senior Marketing Manager, KnowledgeLake
"Overall AIIM was a success for us this year. We spoke to key decision makers who understand the latest technology and were excited to learn more about our new product. We received more than twice the number of leads we did at previous events. The AIIM Expo delivers a strong audience and we will continue to support this event." Chris Kouloiris, Director of Marketing, CVISION Technology.
