manroland Finland celebrates 20 years

Press release from the issuing company

manroland Finland Oy celebrated its 20 years anniversary in February in Vantaa. The event gathered together an outstanding group of customers and decision makers in the field. The most superb approval for 20 years reliable service in Finland: SP-Paino Oy invests in a five-color ROLAND 700 HiPrint.

SP-Paino in Hyvinkää, about 50 kilometers north of Helsinki, is an outstanding commercial printer that sets the benchmark in the production of magazines. The Communications Professionals Association voted the print house the best Finnish printer for company and community magazines in 2009. SP-Paino values quality – and invests in a five-color ROLAND 700 HiPrint, which will be delivered until summer 2010. The printing system is part of SP-Paino's expansion strategy; the company will move total production from Hyvinkää to a new plant in Nurmijärvi.

Jari Tolppanen, MD from SP-Paino, declares: "The move will improve our production facilities and strengthen our capacities. In the previous plant we were operating on two and a half floors. It was not possible to enlarge the finishing and the press itself. But we also needed the fifth printing unit for our future business. That's possible in the new factory now and we will save a huge amount of money." Beside these logistical aspects, it's not an accident that SP-Paino decided in favor of a manroland printing system. SP-Paino already produces with a manroland long perfector, a nine-color ROLAND 700. The experience with the high print quality, the technical advantages of the same plate and blanket cylinder diameters, the reliable color control system and consistent ink values encouraged SP-Paino in its decision. Both presses will be networked into the printnet workflow.
