August 22, 2003 -- S+E Release, a combination of Schleipen & Erkens AG (based in Jülich, Germany) and Silicart S.p.A (based in Bologna, Italy) will be exhibiting at Labelexpo Europe 2003 in Brussels (24 – 27 September 2003). Labelexpo Europe is the world's largest fair for the labelling industry and is of particular importance to S+E Release as labels form a key market area for S+E siliconised release papers. S+E Release will concentrate on three main themes in Brussels: product quality, application-specific solutions and logistics.
For the first time, machinery investments worth around five million Euro, being made in both Jülich and Bologna, will be presented at Labelexpo Europe 2003. In addition, S+E Release will also demonstrate how they are able to provide solutions to complex tasks. Through these improvements, S+E Release will be able to expand its spectrum of complex tailor-made siliiconised products, adapt to customer demands, and further develop its new strategic orientation.
With a yearly capacity of 600 million square meters, Schleipen & Erkens AG is the market leader across Europe within the area of siliconised paper. The company supplies customers in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, South America and the US. More than 200 employees work to ensure the highest levels of product quality and to maintain the company's particular competence within the area of logistics that enable tailor-made products, as well as the delivery of large volumes, to function on a "just in time" basis.
Dr. Jürgen Schäfer, spokesman for the Board at S+E, said, “Labelling represents one of the most important market segments for our company. After all, around 50% of all siliconised paper is used for this purpose. Labelexpo Europe 2003 offers us the chance to meet with all of our customers and to maintain personal contact. Within the area of quality assurance, S+E is certainly among the best on the market. “It is for this reason that we are focusing on this aspect during the fair. In addition, it is also important for us to highlight to our customers our capacity for developing application-specific solutions. As a global supplier of siliconised release papers, we need to demonstrate a high level of logistical competence on a daily basis.”
