Press release from the issuing company
Chicago, IL - InnerWorkings, Inc. , a leading global provider of managed print and promotional solutions for corporate clients, announced today that it has entered into a multi-year enterprise print management agreement with Unilever, one ofthe world's largest consumer products companies.
Under this agreement, Unilever North America will outsource all print, promotional and displayrelated procurement for all of its brands – including direct mail, point of purchase, commercial print, packaging and more – to InnerWorkings.
Pete Basiliere, Research Director at Gartner, Inc. stated, "Print sourcing and buying requirements are uniquely complex and the opportunities for process improvements and cost savings are great, often in the 10% to 25% range. As a result, print procurement continues to grow as an outsourced business process within corporate America. Companies with robust procurement technology and large databases of granular market and supplier information are well positioned to bring efficiencies and cost savings to print supply chains."
As part of the InnerWorkings implementation for Unilever, a team of InnerWorkings' professional production managers will be deployed and permanently located at three of Unilever's North American locations as well as at the offices of one of Unilever's largest creative agency partners.
Eric Belcher, CEO of InnerWorkings, added, "The product quality and service levels we are providing in the marketplace are leading more and more of the most highly respected and well known brands in the world to turn to InnerWorkings for their managed print and promotional needs. We are excited about this new relationship with Unilever and look forward to working with them in the years to come."
