Press release from the issuing company
Painesville, OH – The Avery Dennison Graphics & Reflective Products Division North America announced today that it is supporting the Rusty Wallace Racing team's Car No. 66 driven by Steve Wallace
"Rusty Wallace Racing is an institution in NASCAR and the Nationwide Series," said Joel Ross, Global Marketing Communication Manager at Avery Dennison. "Supporting Steve Wallace and Brendan Gaughan – both up and coming drivers with strong track records – with our top of the line, ultra conformable Avery MPI 1005 Supercast films makes for a great team."
Avery Dennison recently launched the MPI 1005 Supercast Series, a line of next generation conformable cast vinyl films, today. Supercast films feature enhanced conformability and stay down over complex curves and rivets with no tenting or lifting – a new option that is ideal for wrapping cars like No. 66 and teammate, Brendan Gaughan's No. 62, trucks and architectural applications.
"Our focus is on winning in 2010. Steve finished in the top ten in the first three races of the series," said Rusty Wallace. "We're going to build on that momentum and make 2010 a breakout year for our team. We are proud to be using Avery Dennison's top-shelf vinyl wrap products on our cars and in our showroom."
Red Eye Designs, a supplier for Rusty Wallace Racing is using Avery Graphics products, including Avery MPI 2611 Wall Film, to update the team's showroom in Mooresville, NC. The graphics and logos for No. 62 and 66 will be installed with Avery 900 Ultimate Cast Opaques and Easy Apply RS Wrapping Film – Black in addition to MPI 1005 Supercast films.
"Ensuring our sponsor's logos look their best at every race is extremely important to Rusty Wallace Racing," added Wallace. "We know and trust Avery Dennison. The Avery Graphics films make all the colors and logos on cars 62 and 66 really pop."
MPI 1005 Supercast is available with Easy Apply RS, Easy Apply and Gloss Opaque LTR technologies to provide faster and easier application and long-term removability. Easy Apply air egress technology helps eliminate wrinkles and bubbles while Easy Apply RS provides repositionability and slideability, allowing the film to be moved easily before pressure is applied. These films are removable and don't affect the paint on the car.
