Williams and Canady transition Imedia group ownership

Macon – After serving as CEO of Imedia Group (formerly Williams and Canady Printing) since 1987, Ron Williams has transitioned ownership of the family business to David Canady. Canady, who has been with the company since 1989, purchased the company from Williams   and is now president and chairman of Imedia Group's board of directors.

Williams has purchased Home Search Magazine from Imedia Group and will operate it as sole proprietor. Imedia Group will continue to design and print Home Search Magazine for Williams. Williams will also continue in the capacity as a member of the Imedia board. 

"I'm excited to transition the company ownership over to David. He has the experience and knowledge which will enable Imedia Group to adapt new technologies and bring added value to the company's customer partnerships", comments Williams.

A graduate of the University of Georgia, Williams has been in the graphic design, printing and publishing business for over 45 years. He is a past board president of the Printing & Imaging Association of Georgia, Macon Rotary Club, Grand Opera House, and Macon Arts. He is currently a district trustee for the Georgia Rotary Student Program, board of director for the Central Georgia Technical College Foundation and serves on the advisor counsels for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia and Macon Symphony Orchestra.

Canady, a graduate of the University of Georgia, has been in the graphic design, printing and publishing business for over 20 years. He is a past board president of the Printing & Imaging Association of Georgia (PIAG) and the PIAG Educational Foundation. He currently serves on the executive committee for PIAG, PIAG Educational Foundation board, Skills USA Georgia Youth Development Foundation board, Grand Opera House board of trustees and the Museum of Aviation Foundation board of trustees.
