Press release from the issuing company
Gossau, Switzerland - Gietz AG, announced the availability of a new model of the successful FSA 1060 Foil Commander hot foil stamping machine. Developed for companies with smaller print runs and multiple job change-overs, Gietz has developed the FSA 1060 Foil Commander ECO. The FSA 1060 ECO removes the patented "Vacufoil" foil transportation system and the automatic baling press and equips it with conventional foil unwinds with an automatic pneumatic foil tension control system. Both of these features can be added on later in the field if so desired.
The ECO allows for considerable investment costs savings while keeping Gietz's well known high pressure capabilities with addition dwell time on impression. The Gietz Foil Commander is capable of up to 8,000 IPH and offers a productivity of 50 to 100% higher than competitive models, while not sacrificing quality. It offers 350 metric tons of pressure at full production speed. Also standard on the press is a dwell time that is 25% longer than that of the competition. This can be additionally extended up to a maximum of 2.5 seconds, e.g., for deep large surface area foiling and embossing. Gietz machines are able to fully demonstrate their flexible performance in the application of single picture holograms and strips (OVD's optical variable devices) for the security industry. The foil feeds 2 up to 6 longitudinal and 1 or 2 transverse. Gietz machines are marketed in North America by Matik, Inc.
