Pro-Mail helps Best Press to meet customer fulfillment expectations

Rocky Hill, CT - Software Marketing Associates announced today that Best Press, a leading full-service printer and graphic communications firm, has selected its Pro-Mail suite of direct marketing and fulfillment software solutions to help the Texas company further grow its fulfillment business.

Founded in 1981, Software Marketing Associates (SMA) is the developer of Pro-Mail, the nation's top custom-tailored fulfillment and management software for the commercial printing, direct-mail and fulfillment industries.

Based in Addison, Texas, in the larger Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area, Best Press was started as a commercial printer by Wendy Kalisher in 1993. Today, it is one of that region's largest women-owned companies, and is recognized as a top-flight provider of pre-press, uv and conventional offset,,digital printing, mailing, kitting and fulfillment services.

Notwithstanding a tough economic climate, Best Press, buoyed by its business growth, recently expanded by twofold its main facility. A chief reason for the bigger building is to handle an increasing customer demand and need for fulfillment. "The signing of a long-term contract with a multi-national company for print, fulfillment and distribution necessitated the additional space," explains Best Press president, Kalisher.

In order to efficiently, and profitably, process more fulfillment programs, the company required not only a larger facility but also a technical proficiency greater than it had. Mike Heischman, COO, describes why Best Press selected Pro-Mail to provide that needed capability. "We knew that the fulfillment software platform we had been using would not be robust enough for our future needs. A couple of companies that belong to our peer group spoke highly of Pro-Mail. We figured it made sense to find out more about the application and how it might help to meet our particular needs."

Heischman continues, "After discussing with SMA what we were seeking, and running several demos, the SMA staff flew here to show how Pro-Mail is the tool to use to manage our customers' complex fulfillment programs. We then became convinced that Pro-Mail was the correct solution for our growth in fulfillment and distribution ."
