MARKHAM, ON, Aug. 13 - PLM Group today announced that it has purchased a new 7 unit Heidelberg sheet-fed press. "This purchase is part of PLM's continuing commitment to provide its customers with the very best technology. The capabilities of this press will further enhance our commitment to provide our clients with the highest levels of quality and service," said Rick Retter, President of PLM Graphics. The press (expected to be fully operational by mid September) will be installed at PLM's 210 Duffield plant in Markham, Ontario. "This installation is part of the consolidation of our sheet fed print operations into our half web and bindery plant at 210 Duffield," commented Barry Pike, Chairman of PLM. "This consolidation will provide significant efficiencies for us and will allow for the complete renovation of our 195 Duffield plant which will house our new Digital Services Group comprised of Mailer Magic and PLM's 1:1 Direct Mail operations."
