Press release from the issuing company
Zaandam, The Netherlands / London, United Kingdom - WoodWing , developer of innovative cross-media publishing solutions for magazine, book and newspaper publishers as well as for corporate communications, announced today that the FIPP, the leading association for magazine publishers worldwide, has decided to use WoodWing's iPhone newsreader service to deliver industry news to the publishing community. The FIPP iPhone app is already available for download in Apple's App Store free of charge.
WoodWing's iPhone newsreader service provides publishers of all kinds an easy and cost-effective way to offer their audience online content through a company-branded iPhone application, supporting text, images and video both for editorial content and advertisements. Because it's a full-service solution, its time-to-market is very short.
FIPP launched its newsreader today at its Digital Innovators Summit, the third FIPP Digital Magazine Media Conference taking place in Berlin on March 1 - 2. FIPP Chairman Aroon Purie, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of The India Today Group, said, "I am pleased to announce the launch of the first-ever FIPP newsreader application for the iPhone, powered by WoodWing. The application is available as free download starting today, and if you have an iPhone, just search for 'FIPP' in the iPhone App Store."
Hans Janssen, CEO of WoodWing, said, "WoodWing is excited that FIPP has selected our iPhone newsreader service. It is a great way for FIPP to further intensify contact with the community of magazine publishers. At the same time, it offers FIPP and its associated companies a great channel for mobile advertising."
WoodWing sponsors the Digital Innovators Summit 2010 and displays mobile solutions for iPhone and iPad.
WoodWing Software supports FIPP as a strategic sponsor and is participating in the Digital Innovators Summit 2010. The theme for this year's conference is "Driving digital profit."
At the summit, WoodWing will demonstrate the iPhone newsreader service as the easy and affordable way to enter the world of mobile publishing, to connect to new target groups and to explore new sources of revenue.
WoodWing will also demonstrate what its support for Apple's new iPad looks like - the company recently announced the development of tools that allow publishers to take full advantage of the new mobile device which may change the world of publishing dramatically. An early version of those tools will be demoed during the event at WoodWing's booth. Visitors can also learn more about WoodWing's Enterprise publishing system.
