Press release from the issuing company
Goss International has promoted Chuck Irons to the position of director of sales for commercial web, print finishing and Goss Lifetime Support aftermarket products in Latin America.
Irons brings to his new role an extensive expertise in commercial web applications, production enhancement and production optimization models. He has worked in the commercial web industry for 30 years, most recently as director of the Eastern U.S. commercial web sales team for Goss International.
Latin America is a growing and dynamic market that provides significant opportunities for innovative print production platforms, according to Irons. He says the Goss portfolio, including M-500, M-600, M-800 and Sunday web presses as well as Pacesetter saddlestitchers are well suited for the requirements of the market and have been proven throughout Latin America.
"The diverse range of printers and publishers in Central and South America seem to share a passion for innovation, enterprise and self-determination, and this fits perfectly with the Goss International philosophy captured in the phrase 'New Ways for Print'," says Irons. "I am inspired by our company-wide aim to guide customers in identifying new opportunities for their businesses and I look forward to applying that approach in this exciting market."
Irons will report to Ernesto Oliveira, vice president of sales for Goss International in Latin America, who states, "Chuck is a very welcome addition to the Latin American team. He has been instrumental in supporting commercial printers in North America over the past 15 years and his vast knowledge and expertise will further enhance our service to customers in this region."
Visitors to Graphics of the Americas 2010 can discuss Goss International's full range of web offset press and aftermarket equipment with Irons, who will be present on the Goss International booth (#1043).
